Mohsen Malekinejad MD, MPH, Dr.PH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies (IHPS), and the Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS), and the director of the Global Reduce Adverse Childhood Experiences (GRACE) Initiative at UCSF.

Alexander Marr

Mr. Marr is a Program Coordinator and Technical Adviser with the Global Strategic Information Group in UCSF Global Health Sciences where he supports bio-behavioral surveillance projects, interventions to improve testing and linkage among MSM (Project Boithato), and capacity-building in HIV surveillance, data analysis, and data use. He is the primary data analyst and analytic adviser for programs in South Africa, including national surveillance of MSM and FSW. Additionally, he is the Project Coordinator for IBBS surveillance projects in Suriname and Jamaica.

Shayanne Martin

Shayanne Martin provides training founded in adult learning theory, training monitoring and evaluation, and workforce performance improvement strategy to the UCSF & SF Department of Public Health collaboration on COVID-19 contact tracing. Trained as a Community Health Worker, she believes that community health is best improved by community members and is driven to optimize support for community health workers locally and globally.

Farah Massoud, the MENA Program Manager for PROTECT in the Center for Pandemic Preparedness and Response, plays a crucial role in coordinating and enhancing surveillance capacities in the region. She has managed various surveillance projects aimed at improving public health outcomes in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Oman. Farah is passionate about leveraging innovative approaches to strengthen cross-border surveillance and disease response and addressing other public health challenges in MENA.

Joy Mirjahangiris a public health professional with over 12 years of experience in the design and management of international health programs, primarily in HIV surveillance in Africa. In her current role, she is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage community members and community-based organizations (CBOs) in UPIEA’s COVID-19 response in San Francisco in order to provide culturally sensitive care that is responsive to the needs of communities most affected by COVID-19. She also works as a teamlead and trainer on UPIEA’s San Francisco contact-tracing team.

Esbeydy coordinates and facilitates trainings for Contact Tracers in San Francisco in both English and Spanish. In addition to coordinating and enhancing trainings, she assists with the translation of items needed for Contact Tracers and Case Investigators, and is part of the interpreter services team. She graduated with her BS in Health Science from CSUF in 2014, completed a Global Health Post-Baccalaureate Program from Drexel University in 2019, and is currently an MPH student at Tulane University.

Katrina is the Operations Manager with the Center of Pandemic Preparedness and Response (CPPR) and leads the operations and administrative aspects of CPPR's portfolio. She joins CPPR after several years working in patient care at UCSF Medical Center. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership. She has volunteered for multiple non-profit organizations.

Mike Reid is Chief Medical Officer for the UCSF Pandemic Initiative for Equity and Inclusion (UPIEA), an assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine, and an infectious disease physician at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. He oversees UCSF’s contact-tracing work for the San Francisco Department of Public Health and provides strategic direction and oversight on statewide and global COVID-19 technical assistance and training efforts. He completed medical school at Cambridge University.
