Mike Reid, MD, MPH, MA
Mike Reid is Chief Medical Officer for the UCSF Pandemic Initiative for Equity and Inclusion (UPIEA), an assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine, and an infectious disease physician at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. He oversees UCSF’s contact-tracing work for the San Francisco Department of Public Health and provides strategic direction and oversight on statewide and global COVID-19 technical assistance and training efforts. He completed medical school at Cambridge University. He completed his infectious disease fellowship at UCSF and holds a Master’s degree in public health from UC Berkeley. Dr Reid is motivated by a conviction that our responsibility is to support the poor and marginalized suffering from COVID-19. He is inspired by the possibility that our collective impact can save lives while also leading to sustainable transformative change to our health systems.
